What is Japanese Seitai Massage?
We are proud to be the first Massage Centre to introduce Japanese Seitai Massage to Australia. So, what is Seitai all about?
This healing and therapeutic Japanese massage is literally translated as 'Bone Therapy'. Seitai was developed by Kiyoshi Kato during the last century in
Osaka
,
Japan and is involves combining elements of Shiatsu and Western Chiropractic techniques.
Seitai pays attention to the importance of both skeletal and soft tissue structures; its principle is to restore the proper skeletal frame by manipulating soft tissue structures. But Seitai is different from chiropractic because it never involves direct hands-on adjustments of the skeleton, and, as per the soft tissue relaxation, Seitai uses methods different from massage, taking into account the entire muscle structure and origin/insertion of the muscle and pressing muscle fibers vertically.
Seitai therapy is based upon the fact that human body is designed to heal itself. If you restore your shape as it should be, the self-healing power should be maximised. Once the skeletal deformity is almost corrected by the treatment, the self-healing power will take care of the rest of the correction.
Book your Seitai treatment with Haruna Sunday - Thursday at AHT!
